BEN, Mai, and Micaiah were on Highway 395 in Gardnerville again this afternoon. We preached the Lord's being found of them who have not sought him and his stretched forth hands to a rebellious people. We warned the unrepentent of the wrath to come and that there would be no escape if we neglect the Lord's salvation. VIDEO
In order to ensure our street meetings are a good place for little ones, we maintain full control of ourselves and depend on God who alone can ensure our safety. Outbursts of wrath, hatred, variance, emulations, and strife are never a part of our preaching. We have let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from us, with all malice. We understand well that the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. Verily God is angry with the wicked every day, but we are not angry. We are not speaking of ourselves, but rather we seek his glory that sent us. He has called us to rebuke, reprove, and exhort sinners and he instructs us -- and we love the instruction of the Lord -- “the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.”

THE Gospel was preached this evening on US Highway 395 at Waterloo in Gardnerville. VIDEO Our aim is for the Lord to get the glory out of us that he deserves, and since it was not for our sake only that he suffered, we preach that he might be glorified in you, and in the whole world (1 John 2:2). Update on the snowman PHOTO: it would appear that his prophecy was fulfilled, at least on his part. Refusing the lucrative prospects of commercializing his operation precluded him from affording a freezer and joining the chosen frozen. Could it be that he noted being locked in an ice box with only artificial lighting would have prevented him from accomplishing his mission and going home in glory? If you've never held a sign or preached for Jesus outside the church, we challenge you. Don't let it be said that a snowman was a greater witness than you.

THE snowstorm arrived overnight and left us with lots of fresh snow. Oddly enough, a preacher showed up on our lawn as well. PHOTO We attempted to inform him that his behavior was a disturbance of the peace, but we gave up that argument when it didn't work. We tried intimidating him by suggesting his activity was a public nuisance, but he appeared to be unphased. We asked to see his permit, but he ignored us. At this point we became convinced his conduct was disorderly. It would seem that he is more convinced of the truth of his message than of the consequences of continuing on this course. We have determined that his actions are not sustainable unless he succumbs, his activity becomes commercial, and we can regulate it. We’re considering offering to subsidize him.

THE weather was very nice today, allowing us to take our new banners out. For the time being, Ben is on the street by himself so we do not have the usual dramatic videos and photography from the mission field. Holding these ten foot banners is enough. If we had more arms, there is the trumpet, the bible, and then the cameras. We're not dismayed. Extra hands are on the way. Micaiah arrived last month and he has been growing exceptionally well. PHOTOS
We were determined not to be outdone with these banners. The designs are the same as displayed throughout our website. We commissioned these banners to be produced by our friends at Entrusted. The pole displays one banner on each side and can raise them up to 23 feet in the air. We've flown a single banner at full height, but it proved to be too unruly due to the amount of leverage even a small force has from 23 feet up. The standard height of 16 feet as shown in the photos proved to be practical to fly banners on both sides. Ben stood at US Highway 395 and Waterloo to display these banners today, and to preach, and to pass out tracts.

WE have been enjoying the company of our newest family member Micaiah who is now three weeks old. Micaiah enjoys attending the fellowship of the saints with us on the Lord's day and he also joined us last week for the Men's bible study at the local church. We give thanks to God that both Micaiah's grandpas were able to see him a week ago. Children's children are the glory of old men. Ben preached on the street the sabbath day at route 756 and today at Waterloo and 395.

WE are eagerly awaiting the soon coming birth of our son. All is well with
the three of us, and we acknowledge and give thanks to those who are praying for
us.
We have prepared a message to all for this new year. It is available here: A Message from the Maulis's for 2007
Our public ministry to Nevada's Carson Valley is continuing, although we expect a short break in the street preaching while we enjoy our newest family member who is expected in the next couple weeks.
On Saturday, January 6th, 2007 we were open air preaching the gospel on the sidewalk adjacent US Highway 395 in Minden, Nevada when a Sheriff’s deputy approached us and told us they would not allow us to continue preaching there. The deputy’s stated their reason was that they could hear us from inside their car and therefore they alleged we could cause a distraction to drivers on the highway. We responded, “Did you believe the gospel?”

IT was the first day of the new year. We preached on US Highway 395 across from Sharkey's casino. Ben preached both the gospel from God's word and his personal testimony. The video gallery shows some clips from the preaching today.
We have recently made many improvements to the website, including enhanced graphics, and improved quality in the video gallery.
We were downtown at the Clock Park on US Highway 395 in Minden, Nevada on the sabbath day afternoon, preaching the gospel and sounding the trumpet. The crowd was admittedly a bit sparse, but this is to be expected for a small town in the winter. On the Lord's day, after the morning meeting, we were at Lampe Park and the skate park. The park's population in the afternoon was very sparse, so we passed out tracts and spoke to people. The skate park was busier. Comic book tracts proved very popular there, and we were able to talk to a group of kids. Ben shared his testimony with them.
We are committed to continue preaching the gospel publicly, and to testifying that Jesus is the only way of salvation. We also invite you to join us in proclaiming God’s word.
Whether we are in Gardnerville, or Minden, the Gardnerville Ranchos, Genoa, or the Johnson Lane neighborhood, we declare the great joy in being reconciled to God and in having peace with God through Jesus Christ. But there is no peace to the wicked and all nations that forget God shall be turned into hell. Nevada’s Carson Valley is no exception. But if we hearken unto his word, we will see that the Lord has made a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
