Testimonies

benBEN was born in California. He grew up in the Silicon Valley area.  He received education and was priveledged with great freedom.  Nevertheless, he was headstrong and defiant of the authority and oft in transgression.  He strained to affect a respectable self-image, contriving a well regarded persona, but he related as one of the adversaries, stiff-necked and rebellious.  He achieved modestly in the ways of the world but would not have retained God in his knowledge neither would he glorify him as God, until one day he was sitting in his pickup truck and the spirit of God came upon him, and he confessed the name “Jesus Christ.” The spirit had done what Jesus said he would do. “He shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.” The word of God also tells us that “whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved.” Ben did not know the gospel, but over the next few days he read the accounts written in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. The Lord also opened his understanding so he could understand the words of Jesus, which the Lord said are spirit and life. Ben was dead in his transgressions, but he heard the words of the Lord speaking, “Amen, amen, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.” Ben repented and makes this confession, “Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. He was wounded for my transgressions. He bore my iniquity. He was crucified. ‘And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre. But God raised him from the dead.’ I will forever hold onto and trust in the words of Christ who said, ‘He that believeth on me, hath everlasting life.’ I believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God.”

maiMAI was born in Vietnam. Her family moved to the area of Montreal, Canada when she was seven.  Mai was in Quebec when she realized God was drawing her to himself. When her mother became ill leading to death, Mai became deeply interested in spiritual matters. Her curiosity led her down many paths and eventually to the place where she was found of Christ Jesus whose name she confessed. She sought the church and the Spirit led her to call a pastor who met her and expounded unto her the gospel by sound doctrine. The pastor’s wife took care to disciple her in Christ. She was born again by the will of God and her confession is that Christ died for her sins and that his blood justifies her. She has eternal life by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ. Mai left Quebec and came to San Jose, California where she continued her discipleship at a Christian church. She married Ben in April of 2006 and now lives in the Carson Valley of Nevada with her husband.  She gave birth to Micaiah Maulis in January and Mamre Maulis in October of 2007.

MICAIAH and MAMRE were born in Nevada to Benjamin Karel Maulis and My Diep Maulis. Through Micaiah and Mamre, the Lord has blessed us and given us a reward and a heritage. He has made our vine fruitful and kept our olive plants from our enemy.

Our Covenant

For as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12–13

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; Romans 8:16–17

Jesus, “took bread, and gave thanks, and broke it, and gave it unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.  Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.” (Luke 22:19–20)

For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Matthew 26:28

Amen, amen, He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities.  The Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:5,6)  For he hath made him to be sin for us, who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness. (2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 Peter 2:24)

And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre, but God raised him from the dead.Acts 13:29–30

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.  Hebrews 12:1–2

By him all that believe are justified from all things (Acts 13:39), for God is the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. (Romans 3:26)

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5:24

Our Confession

Jesus said, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my word shall not pass away.”  We are not ashamed of Jesus and of his words for we know that the gospel is the power of God unto salvation.  Therefore we confess his name before men.

We believe there is one true and living God.  We are baptized in his name, which is the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

We believe it is appointed for man once to die and then the judgment.  Sin is transgression of the law. God’s word teaches us that all have sinned. The purpose of the law is to stop every mouth so that all the world becomes guilty before God. God’s law is therefore a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ, because God is the justifier of him that believes in Jesus.

We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God.  We believe that Jesus Christ is the Word of God.  We believe that Jesus Christ is God. We believe and confess the Lord Jesus. We believe and confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. He was wounded for our transgressions. He bore our iniquity. He was crucified.  He died for our sins.  He who knew no sin, was made sin for us that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.  “And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre. But God raised him from the dead.” Jesus said, “He that believeth on me, hath everlasting life.”  We are saved by grace through faith in Christ alone.

We believe in the person who is called the Holy Ghost, the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, the Spirit of God, and other names in the scriptures.  We believe that he is one with God, and that he is God, according to the scriptures.

We believe every word that Jesus and the prophets spoke about eschatological events as recorded in the scriptures, and that these scriptures will be fulfilled exactly as declared by God. We believe that those who do not believe on the name of the Son of God do not have their name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.  They shall face judgment, condemnation, and be cast into the lake of fire which is the second death.

We are members of the body of Christ according to the scriptures.  We are separate, and independent from every other person, group, body, corporation, or organization.  In obedience to God, we submit to the ordinances of man and to governing authorities according to the scriptures.  In obedience to God, we submit to other believers and elders in the body of Christ, including the pastor of our local church.  We have fellowship with the local church consistently and we maintain a commitment to volunteer and participate in ministry with the local church.  If you want to know more about the local church in our area, we welcome your inquiry.
