About
WE are the Maulis family. On April 15, 2006 Benjamin Karel Maulis, having received this name from his father Van Rudolph Maulis, married My Diep Ly, the daughter of Thanh Ly. Benjamin and My Diep are believers and disciples of Jesus Christ, called Christians.
Both Ben and Mai have been born again, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Our confession and testimonies are here.
Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee. Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table. Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD. Psalm 128:1–4
Children are a heritage from the Lord and the Lord has added unto us Micaiah Maulis who was born in January of 2007 and Mamre Maulis born in October of 2007.
Ben enjoys being a husband and a father. He labors in the work of the kingdom of God, preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Lord provides for Ben and his family in quiet study and his own business to work with his own hands that he may walk honestly and have lack of nothing. He does business in information technology, presently serving a contractor to a corporation in the energy, oil and gas, aviation and transportation industries. Prior to moving to the Carson Valley, Ben served a number of Silicon Valley and San Francisco Peninsula companies in the industries of nuclear energy, biotechnology and pharmaceutical development, management consulting, semiconductors, and telecommunications.
Mai guides the house, teaching and training our children in the way that they should go. Mai also labors as a prolific gardener, providing an abundance of produce for the house. She was educated in Quebec where she graduated college in the school of nursing. Rather than practice nursing, she worked for a family business prior to marrying Ben. The Lord prospers her in all that she does. She is literate in French and English, and she speaks Chinese (Teochew and Cantonese), and Vietnamese. She is a loving mother and her children call her blessed. It is said of her by her husband, “She is the most beautiful woman in the world. Besides that she has the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit that is precious in my sight far above rubies. Truly there was never made a help more meet for me. She is my lover and my best friend. I just love to be with her and there is not anything that I do not share with her. I know she will be with me in the end of the age, and we will see the Lord in his glory. She is my lily of the field, and in the twinkling of an eye, she will be raised with me in the image of the heavenly to glorify Christ.”
