WE are the Maulis fam­ily.  On April 15, 2006 Ben­jamin Karel Maulis, hav­ing received this name from his father Van Rudolph Maulis, mar­ried My Diep Ly, the daugh­ter of Thanh Ly. Ben­jamin and My Diep are believ­ers and dis­ci­ples of Jesus Christ, called Christians.

Both Ben and Mai have been born again, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.  Our con­fes­sion and tes­ti­monies are here.

Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.  For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.  Thy wife shall be as a fruit­ful vine by the sides of thine house: thy chil­dren like olive plants round about thy table.  Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD. _{Psalm 128:1–4}

Chil­dren are a her­itage from the Lord and the Lord has added unto us Mica­iah Maulis who was born in Jan­u­ary of 2007 and Mamre Maulis born in Octo­ber of 2007.

Ben enjoys being a hus­band and a father.  He labors in the work of the king­dom of God, preach­ing the gospel of Jesus Christ.  The Lord pro­vides for Ben and his fam­ily in quiet study and his own busi­ness to work with his own hands that he may walk hon­estly and have lack of noth­ing.  He does busi­ness in infor­ma­tion tech­nol­ogy, presently serv­ing a con­trac­tor to a cor­po­ra­tion in the energy, oil and gas, avi­a­tion and trans­porta­tion indus­tries.  Prior to mov­ing to the Car­son Val­ley, Ben served a num­ber of Sil­i­con Val­ley and San Fran­cisco Penin­sula com­pa­nies in the indus­tries of nuclear energy, biotech­nol­ogy and phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal devel­op­ment, man­age­ment con­sult­ing, semi­con­duc­tors, and telecommunications.

Mai guides the house, teach­ing and train­ing our chil­dren in the way that they should go.  Mai also labors as a pro­lific gar­dener, pro­vid­ing an abun­dance of pro­duce for the house.  She was edu­cated in Que­bec where she grad­u­ated col­lege in the school of nurs­ing.  Rather than prac­tice nurs­ing, she worked for a fam­ily busi­ness prior to mar­ry­ing Ben.  The Lord pros­pers her in all that she does.  She is lit­er­ate in French and Eng­lish, and she speaks Chi­nese (Teochew and Can­tonese), and Viet­namese.  She is a lov­ing mother and her chil­dren call her blessed.  It is said of her by her hus­band, “She is the most beau­ti­ful woman in the world.  Besides that she has the orna­ment of a meek and quiet spirit that is pre­cious in my sight far above rubies.  Truly there was never made a help more meet for me.  She is my lover and my best friend.  I just love to be with her and there is not any­thing that I do not share with her.  I know she will be with me in the end of the age, and we will see the Lord in his glory.  She is my lily of the field, and in the twin­kling of an eye, she will be raised with me in the image of the heav­enly to glo­rify Christ.”
